Local law enforcement authorities are warning businesses and individuals to be on the lookout for fake one-hundred dollar bills. The bills are used as props in movies and television shows and have the words “FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY” printed on the bill along with the statement “This note is not legal. It is to be used for motion pictures”. The Flomaton, Alabama, Police Department has received two reports of one-hundred dollar bills being passed to local merchants in recent days. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department has received three reports of the fake movie money. The fake bills are legal to purchase and possess, but it is a felony to try to use them as real money.
