A dog fighting ring in Washington County in South Alabama has been shut down after an extensive investigation. Washington County deputies arrested 23 people at a dog fight Saturday night and they are still seeking more than a dozen others who fled the scene. A spokesman for the Washington Sheriff’s County Office said four pit bulls were turned over to the County Animal Shelter and machine guns, drugs were seized along with more than $15,000 in cash. The investigation was said to have been going on for months.
