A child sex offender was shot by a U.S. Marshals Task Force member during an arrest attempt yesterday. About 9 a.m. Thursday, members of the US Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force were trying to arrest 61-year old Kevin Petuchov at a home on the 700 block of Boxwood Drive, when he displayed a firearm and was subsequently shot by a task force officer. He was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital by Escambia County EMS. Petuchov was treated for the gunshot wound and then booked into the Escambia County Jail. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year old female from April through October of 2016.
