The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says a man has been arrested for a shooting death that happened in early January. Allen Elliott was found dead of a gunshot wound in the parking lot behind Vannoy’s Tires on Nine Mile Road. Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a drug deal gone bad. Shaquille Jordan was arrested Wednesday and has been charged with homicide. Investigators recovered Elliot’s cell phone and found messages to Jordan from the victim asking to buy marijuana. Deputies are still searching for one more person.
