Escambia County has a new director of corrections. Tamyra Jarvis comes from Coleman, Florida, in the central part of the State, where she served as the warden at the Federal Correctional Complex. She started work here yesterday and will be responsible for the oversight of the Escambia County Jail, the Community Corrections Division and the Road Prison. She graduated from West Virginia University and has been in corrections for 25 years.
