Today is not a school holiday in Escambia County. Escambia County School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas says in spite of what kids tell their parents, today is not a day off from school. However, he did point out there was an error on a printed school district calendar that was distributed early in the school year indicating two student holidays in the month of February, but this is incorrect. There is only one school holiday in February and that will be Monday, February 20th, for President’s Day.
