Of the 12 Alabama students injured when struck by a car while waiting to march in the Gulf Shores Middle School over the weekend, nine have been released from the hospital. However, two students are still listed in critical condition at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola and the third, also in critical condition, is at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile. Police say the driver of the striking vehicle, 73-year-old Larry Rathbone, hit the accelerator, and drove into the students. So far no charges have been brought against Rathbone.
