SANTA ROSA COUNTY COURTHOUSE SITE 3-2-17

District 1 Santa Rosa County Commissioner, Sam Parker, says he will propose a site for a future Santa Rosa County courthouse during Monday’s committee meeting in Milton. Parker wants to use donated land to build a new courthouse in the Pace/Pea Ridge area of his district. Parker said Pace businessman Edwin Henry has offered the county up to 15 acres of land on the south side of Sterling Way, west of Mulat Road. The land is not located in a flood zone and Parker said he was unaware of environmental issues that would affect using the property for the courthouse. The commissioners will discuss the proposal at Monday’s meeting.
