A Pensacola Police Officer was attacked while responding to a call on Interstate-110 Saturday night. Assistant Chief Tommi Lyter said 25-year-old Brandon Lintner was walking down I-110 at the Maxwell Street ramp when an officer stopped to question him. Lintner pushed the officer into oncoming traffic, then jumped off the interstate, landing about 35 to 40 feet below. He was quickly taken into custody and was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital, then was booked into the Escambia County Jail on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting with violence. The officer did not suffer any serious injuries.
