The Escambia County School District is looking for teachers. School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said the District has set up a website to serve as an online screening process for an invitation-only hiring event to be held in late April. Times and a site for the hiring event will be disclosed to the potential candidates once credentials and applications are verified. Elizabeth Oakes, director of personnel services and human resources at Escambia County School District, said the goal is to have more than 100 teachers in place ahead of the traditional summer hiring period.
