FIREARMS BILL 3-9-17

A bill, which would allow gun owners to bring their firearms into any courthouse building in Florida, passed through a state Senate subcommittee on a 5-4 vote. However, firearms would not be allowed in a courtroom and would have to be locked in a safe when you enter a building. There is plenty of opposition to the Senate Bill 616 from the law enforcement and legal community. The bill does not have a companion bill in the House, and still has to make it through the rules and governmental accountability and oversight committee before it can reach the senate floor for a full vote.
