CHILD ATTACKED BY DOGS 3-16-17

A seven-year-old boy suffered significant injuries after being attacked by three dogs outside his home on Chemstrand Road on Tuesday night. The boy’s mother said the child was bitten multiple times and had a large gash on his head. Escambia County Animal Services Manager John Robinson said the owner was cited for not having the dogs licensed and vaccinated and a follow up investigation will be done to see if additional charges will be made. He said the dogs have been confiscated and are under a hold for observation. The dogs could be euthanized. The victim was treated at West Florida Hospital and has been released.
