Escambia County Tax Collector Scott Lunsford reminds Escambia County property owners that unpaid real estate and tangible property taxes are delinquent after April 1st. After that date penalties of three percent for real estate taxes and one and one-half percent for tangible taxes will be assessed. Over 29 million dollars, representing approximately 10-percent of the tax roll, remains unpaid. To avoid the penalty, payment must be made by March 31st.
