The Florida Public Service Commission has approved a rate increase requested by Gulf Power. Starting in July the increase is expected to be add about 7 dollars to the monthly bills of residential customers who use 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity a month, which is about half the increase initially requested.  Monthly bills for such customers are expected to go from $144 to $151,
