Escambia County Tax Collector Scott Lunsford has announced that residents will soon be able to renew concealed weapon permits more quickly. New printers are being installed, which will allow applicants to receive their permits the same day they apply. However, new applications will still have to be submitted to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for final approval and that can take  90 days.
