MAN IMPERSONATING DEPUTY ARRESTED 4-7-17

A 34-year-old Santa Rosa County man has been arrested for impersonating a deputy. Johnny Ray Wilson had been staying with a former Santa Rosa County Deputy and is accused of stealing an old uniform to try to obtain medications at area pharmacies. On Tuesday he went to the pharmacy at the Target in Pace and asked to see the drug Suboxone. The woman refused and Wilson left the store. Police traced the tag number on the vehicle Wilson had been driving and found it was registered to the retired deputy. Wilson was arrested and is charged with impersonating an officer, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a weapon by a felon. He is being held at the Santa Rosa County Jail on a $76,500 bond.
