The National Science Foundation awarded a 1.3 million dollar, five-year grant to support University of West Florida students who will pursue teaching careers in STEM fields, of science, technology, engineering and mathematics for students must be pursuing a UWF-Teach degree.

Eighteen students will receive funding for the cost of attending UWF during their junior and senior years. Students applying to receive the scholarship must maintain a minimum GPA, submit faculty recommendations, write a two-page essay and sit for an interview.
