The Florida Department of Corrections will host a hiring event today at 9am at the Century Correctional Institution in North Escambia County. Attendees should arrive no later than 8:30 a.m.The department is seeking certified or non-certified correctional officer applicants. Attendees should bring a driver’s license, birth certificate, social security card, high school diploma, GED or college transcripts and any name change documents such as a marriage certificate. Veterans and current reservists/Guardsmen should bring a copy of their DD-214 or military ID. There is a $12.00 fee to take the Criminal Justice Abilities Test.
