An inmate who fled from the Escambia County Road Camp on Bratt Road yesterday was recaptured about five miles away, not far from Bratt Elementary School. 31-year-old Richard Ethridge was found by a Florida Department of Corrections K-9 Unit from Century Correctional.

Ethridge was serving a five year, sentence on multiple burglary and stolen property charges from Marion County in Central Florida. He was transported to the Escambia County Jail where he will be charged with escape and then returned to the Department of Corrections.
