INMATE STABBED 5-5-17

The Florida Department of Corrections says an inmate at the Century Correctional Institution in North Escambia County was seriously injured in a fight with another inmate Wednesday night. The injured inmate – whose name has not yet been released – was stabbed and was  transported to a Pensacola hospital for treatment. There were no injuries reported to corrections officers or other staff. The incident is currently under investigation by the Florida Department of Correction’s Inspector General’s Office.
