The Florida Department of Corrections says a Santa Rosa Correctional Institution officer has been arrested for fracturing an inmate’s jaw and then lying to investigators about the incident. According to the arrest report the prison’s surveillance footage contradicted the story Quintavia Walker told authorities about the incident that happened on May 22nd. Walker told investigators an inmate “cussed him out” then tried to jerk away from him. However, the video shows Walker throwing the handcuffed inmate to the ground, face-first while being escorted across his wing. Walker was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail after his arrest.
