Pensacola Police say a man’s body was recovered from Pensacola Bay yesterday morning. Department spokesman, Officer Mike Wood, said he was identified as 68-year-old Homer Parriman, of Robertsdale, Alabama. A security officer with the Port of Pensacola said he saw the man swimming in the bay around 5am, but did not appear to be in distress, Wood said. The security officer reported the swimmer to police because of the unusual circumstances and an officer responded and shouted to the man to come back to shore. He went underwater and Parriman’s body was recovered at about 6:30 a.m. The investigation is continuing.
