The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says Tate High School was placed on a brief lockdown Monday afternoon because of a bomb threat. Amber Southard, spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office, said the school was searched and the threat was determined not to be credible. Anyone with information on the person making the false threat is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office or to call Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
