Although the 2018 Florida legislative session is still more than a month away, it looks as though gun-related measures may have died in the Senate because of actions by the Senate Judiciary Committee. That committee voted to reject proposals that would have allowed Floridians with concealed-weapons licenses to carry firearms up to the entrances of courthouses; inadvertently display handguns; and carry concealed weapons in religious institutions that include private schools or day-care facilities. The votes came as lawmakers hold committee meetings to prepare for the 2018 session, which starts January 9th.
