WEAR TV3 is reporting that Henry Kelly, former spokesperson for the Okaloosa County School District, is commenting about the reprimand he received from School Superintendent Mary Beth Jackson after he sent a series of text messages in October. A citizen filed a formal complaint against Kelley for sending a series of text messages to him about articles published in the Northwest Florida Daily News about a child abuse case. Kelley said he was on school property at the time he sent the messages, but not on duty and was not being paid. Superintendent Mary Beth Jackson issued a formal letter of reprimand and removed Kelley from the job of public information officer.
