Law enforcement officers in the southeast continue to search for two Washington County Jail inmates who escaped late Sunday. Washington County Sheriff Kevin Crews said 27-year-old Ronly Pado, and 39-year-old David Anderson, used a shower curtain rod to chip away at a wall in their cell to access the adjoining maintenance room, which led outside to the jail yard where they crawled under a padlocked gate. Pado, was charged with stabbing to death another inmate in June, and Anderson had already been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison. A car believed to have been stolen by the two was recovered in North Carolina. They are thought to be in another stolen vehicle, a 2001 white GMC pickup with a broken driver’s side window bearing North Carolina tag EEL-4847.
