Law enforcement officers from Florida and Alabama teamed up to capture a suspect who fled from a car crash after a vehicle chase. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office joined deputies from the Escambia County Alabama Sheriff’s Office who were pursuing Louis Scott who crashed his car in Okaloosa County and then fled on foot. Scott was eventually taken into custody with the help of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and a dog team from the Okaloosa Correctional Institution. Scott was wanted in Alabama on multiple felony warrants. Shane Bonifay, a second suspect, is already in the Escambia County Alabama Detention Center in Brewton on related charges.
