Tryouts for anyone interested in becoming a Pensacola Beach lifeguard Tryouts will be held Saturday, January 20th at the University of West Florida Aquatic Center at 7 a.m. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, be able to swim 600 yards in a pool in 10 minutes or less – run 1.5 miles on a track in 12 minutes or less – possess a valid driver’s license, hold an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Applicants must complete an online application prior to the tryout and arrive at least 15 minutes early to the tryout event.
