The Florida Department of Education says Florida’s high school graduation rate has reached a 14-year high rising to 82.3 percent, an increase of 23.1 percent. The Escambia County School District’s graduation rate increased to 79.5 percent, as compared to 76.1 percent one year earlier. Florida Governor Rick Scott said he looks forward to working with the Legislature during the upcoming to make sure students have the resources they need to continue to build on this accomplishment for years to come.
