The flu is now officially an epidemic in the United States and twenty children have died so far. The virus is said to be widespread in 49 states with Hawaii. Experts say the flu is especially active this year with the main strain, H3N2, is one of the worst. Doctors are recommending everyone get the flu shot, but the vaccine is only expected to be about 30 percent effective against the H3N2 strain.
