Pensacola Police say an arrest has been made for the weekend bomb threat at the Bay Center. Department spokesman Mike Wood said 24-year-old Brandon Ward broke into the Bay Center last week and damaged several walls and left his backpack inside one of the offices. He returned Sunday morning and asked if he could retrieve his belongings. Police were called and Ward told them the backpack may have a bomb inside. The Bay Center was briefly evacuated Sunday morning while a search was conducted. No explosives were found and Ward was charged with making a false bomb threat and two counts of burglary and booked into the Escambia County Jail on a $24,000 bond.
