FAKE CANCER FRAUD FOLLOW-UP

After an Okaloosa County couple was charged with fraud and child abuse for collecting money after saying their 13-year-old son was dying of brain cancer a spokesman for GoFundMe said they will refund any donated money. 34-year-old Ginny and 47-year-old Robert Long are each facing nine counts of fraud and one count of child abuse. The child told authorities his parents told him in May of 2017 he was dying of brain cancer. The boy’s physician told investigators he did not have cancer and the woman couldn’t provide any documentation about the child’s condition on any of the occasions when she was questioned.
