The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a local couple has been convicted of stealing 8 million-dollars in bingo proceeds meant for charities. 67-year-old Larry Masino, and 65-year-old Dixie Masino, were convicted Wednesday of wire fraud conspiracy, operating an illegal gambling business and money laundering. The couple was accused of illegally keeping the proceeds of bingo games they ran on behalf of various Okaloosa County charities. The Masinos owned and operated Racetrack Bingo in Fort Walton Beach. The Masinos will be sentenced on May 25th at the Arnow Federal Building in Pensacola.
