ASSISTED LIVING CARE FACILITY FIRE

Escambia County Fire-Rescue says a fire at an assisted living facility in north Escambia County was deliberately set. Firefighters responded to Enon Country Manor on Enon School Road about eight miles southeast of Walnut Hill late Saturday morning. 22 residents and two staff members were evacuated, but no injuries were reported. It was said a resident set fire to a mattress in his room and the case is under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
