A U.S. Navy admiral from Pensacola may be the next U.S. ambassador to Australia. President Trump has nominated Admiral Harry B. Harris Jr. for the post. Admiral Harris graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1974 and then from the Naval Academy and served as a naval flight officer. He currently serves as the commander of U.S. Pacific Command.
