FLU VACCINE NOT EFFECTIVE

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed this year’s flu vaccine is doing a poor job protecting older Americans and others against the flu. Most illnesses this winter have been caused by Type A H3N2 flu. Preliminary figures indicate the vaccine is was only 25 percent effective. The vaccine was somewhat effective in young children, but was nearly ineffective for older people, including seniors who are most vulnerable.
