The Baldwin County Alabama Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that a man killed after an armed standoff in the Barnwell Community was shot by SWAT team members.  65-year-old Robert Yates fired on deputies who were attempting to evict him from his rental mobile home. No deputies were hit, and the SWAT Team and negotiators responded. After unsuccessful negotiations and the firing of tear gas canisters the team entered the trailer and Yates apparently fired more shots and was killed. The investigation is continuing.
