A one-year-old child in Mobile died after being shot yesterday afternoon. Mobile Police Chief Lawrence Battiste said officers responded around 2 p.m. to the home in West Mobile. The weapon, is believed to be a 9mm handgun and the shooting appears to have been accidental. Another child may have been the shooter and the case remains under investigation.
