A charter bus carrying high school students from Texas crashed into a ravine in Alabama off Interstate 10, east of Wilcox Road early yesterday morning. Channelview Texas High School officials said 46 people were on the charter bus which was headed back to Houston from a trip to Disney World. Baldwin County authorities said the bus went off the Interstate into the median, then down into a 60-foot deep ravine between two bridges over a small creek. The bus driver, Harry Caligone, was killed, one person was critically injured and five people suffered serious injuries. The rest of the injuries were said to be minor. The injured went to ten different hospitals in Florida and Alabama. The crash remains under investigation.
