Escambia County School District officials say any unsanctioned walkouts on Wednesday planned in support of the Parkland students killed in a school shooting will not approved of by the school district. Escambia County schools will allow students to honor victims of gun violence during an assembly, but students will be reprimanded for conducting protests not sanctioned by schools. Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said political statements, such as political flags and banners, will not be allowed during the assembly at Pensacola High School.
