Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio has filed separate bills in Congress aimed at keeping Florida – and the nation – on daylight-saving time throughout the year. The Florida Legislature approved a bill that calls for year-round daylight-saving time in Florida – a change that would require congressional approval. The Florida PTA Legislative Committee opposes the bill for safety reasons saying they don’t want more children standing in the dark waiting for a school bus. Daylight-saving time started Sunday and is set to end on November 4th.
