The Florida Highway Patrol said Century Mayor Henry Hawkins was not injured when his car collided with another on Old Palsfox near Gonzalez on Wednesday. Troopers said 17-year old Andrew Anderson of Crestview was driving a pickup that was towing a trailer when he turned in front of Hawkins car on Old Palafox at Roberts Road causing the collision. Hawkin’s passenger, 57-year old Maxine Simpson of Century, suffered minor injuries and was transported by Escambia County EMS to Sacred Heart Hospital. Anderson was cited for failing to yield right of way.
