The list of candidates to fill the Okaloosa county judge’s seat of retiring Judge Pat Maney has been narrowed to five. Florida Governor Rick Scott will select the new judge from a list that includes personal injury attorney J. Bruce Bowman and assistant state attorneys still in the running are Ginger Madden, Angela Mason, Jonathan Schlechter and David Stevens. Scott has until May 25th to make his selection. With 29 years on the bench Judge Maney is the longest serving county or circuit court judge in Florida’s First Judicial Circuit.
