The budget impasse between the Escambia County Board of Commissioners and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office continues after what was thought to have been a budget agreement fell apart. Now the Board of County Commissioners has filed a motion with Governor Rick Scott’s Administration Commission to compel the sheriff’s office to comply with the terms defined in the mediation agreement. The Board of County Commissioners hopes to hear back from the governor’s office before the end of April.
