Pensacola Police arrested a man for the rape of a woman that happened in February. The victim told investigating officers she was walking on West Cervantes Street around 4:30 a.m. on February 22nd, when Ja’Mone Clayton approached her on a bicycle and asked if she wanted to have sex with him. She declined and walked away, but Clayton approached with a broken bottle and threatened to cut her, then took her behind a building and raped her. Clayton was identified by the victim in a photo line-up and was charged with sexual assault with a weapon, He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
