Major Stephen Del Bagno, the Thunderbirds pilot who died in crash in Nevada, on Wednesday, had been assigned to Eglin Air Force Base before going to the Air Force precision flight team. Del Bagno, in his first season with the Thunderbirds, was killed at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday during what the Air Force is calling a routine aerial demonstration training flight over the Nevada Test and Training Range.
