Escambia County Sheriff’s investigators say a man showed up at Baptist Hospital with a gunshot wound just before noon on Wednesday. Department spokesperson Major Andrew Hobbs said the shooting victim was not cooperating with investigators and told them he does not know who shot him and has no information about the incident. A crime scene unit was dispatched to Fairfield Drive and Ruby Avenue, but no one was there when they arrived. The investigation is continuing.
