Prescribed burns along Interstate 10 near Garcon Point produced plenty of smoke in the area. The Florida Forest Service at the Blackwater Forestry Center said a private contractor is conducting the burns and residents and drivers may see smoke and flames from the burn which covers 268 acres. The area being burned is between Robinson Point and Garcon Point roads.
