GREAT WHITE SHARK VISITING

A 12-foot, 1,300 pound great white shark was in our area recently. Hilton, a male great white, has covered almost 10,000 miles in the past 14 months. He was tagged in March of 2017 off the coast of South Carolina and his movements tracked ever since. He has been as far north as Nova Scotia, but has come south and moved into the Gulf and his tracking signal was detected by satellite Tuesday, south of Navarre. He was last detected around 5 a.m. yesterday off the coast of Louisiana.
