A female career firefighter with Escambia Fire Rescue has filed a federal discrimination complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, against Escambia County. The firefighter kept a journal in which she detailed a culture of verbal, physical and sexual harassment incidents that occurred during her time with the fire department. An investigation by the County led to Fire Chief Patrick Grace being relieved of his duties, a firefighter dismissed and a lieutenant reprimanded.
